  8.                    QUICK INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  11. If you are installing from the ChronoLog "master" diskette(s), one 3 1/2" 
  12. or two 5 1/4" floppy(s), the files are not compressed.  Use the 
  13. following procedure to install:
  14.  
  15.       - There should be at least 15 files.  See the file PACKING.LST 
  16.         for a listing of the minimum files required.
  17.  
  18.       - Insert the 3 1/2" floppy or 5 1/4" floppy #1 (contains the 
  19.         file CLINST.EXE) into a floppy drive.
  20.  
  21.       - Type CLINST (the ChronoLog System Installation Program).  This will 
  22.         create a subdirectory on your hard drive and copy the system files 
  23.         into it.  (If loading from 5 1/4" floppy, you will be prompted to 
  24.         insert floppy #2.).  CLINIT (the ChronoLog Database Initialization 
  25.         Program) will execute automatically.

  27.       - Type CHRONO to execute ChronoLog.

  30. If you have the ChronoLog files compressed into a single file (the 
  31. file name should be CHRON100.xxx, where xxx = compression extension), 
  32. use the following installation procedure:

  34.       - You do not need to run CLINST.  Instead make sure that the 
  35.         compressed file has been copied to the subdirectory on your
  36.         hard drive wherein you want the ChronoLog system files to reside.

  38.       - Uncompress CHRON100.xxx.  If the uncompress is successful, 
  39.         you may delete CHRON100.xxx.
  40.  
  41.       - There should be at least 15 files when uncompressed.  See the 
  42.         file PACKING.LST for a listing of the minimum files required.

  44.       - Type CLINIT (the ChronoLog Database Initialization Program) to 
  45.         initialize a database in the subdirectory where the system files 
  46.         reside.

  48.       - Type CHRONO to execute ChronoLog.
